The Hope of Fruit

‎"Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength!..." Habakkuk 3:17-19a

If you have ever felt like there's just no fruit or productivity from your life, then this verse is for you. We are reminded that despite our circumstances, God is more interested in our character - and in our character may we have a "character of worship" that always acknowledges the greatness of our God and His plans despite what is going on around us.

May our joyfulness simply be found in the God who has graced us with salvation (through the Son - Jesus - salvation, healing and deliverance) and has given us through the Holy Spirit His strength.
