“What I’m a part of is bigger than the part I play.”

“What I’m a part of is bigger than the part I play.”

Ephesians 3:10-21New Living Translation (NLT)

10 God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

12 Because of Christ and our faith in him,[a] we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. 13 So please don’t lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored.

14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,[b] 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.[c] 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Paul prays these 5 things for believer and for/over the church:

-       that we would be empowered with strength v.16

-       that Christ will make His home in our heartsv.17

-       that we would be rooted (deeply) in His love. v. 17b

-       that we would understand His love v. 18

*** note: Paul praysthat we would have the power to understand His love.

how wide, how high, how deep, how long.

-       that we would experience His love. v. 19

These are things we should pray over one another and the church – and when we do, the results are in verse .20

v. 19 we would be made complete

v. 20 that by His power and might He would accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Do you have a big vision for what God can do in your life? Because whatever you thinkor ask.. He is able to do INFINITELY MORE!!!

What would it look like if God did more than we ever imagined?

--- thousands of people coming to Christ / being baptized / sharing their new faith

n  planting / establishing hundreds of churches

We are a part of something so much bigger than ourselves
