21 Days of Prayer - Day 14 Discover Your Purpose - Make A Difference

Day 14, January 18, 2020

Discover Your Purpose - Make A Difference / Growth and Ministry

This is the hope of God. The hope of God isn’t just to be saved and be free.

God wants us to be light on a hill and salt in the earth.

This happens when we grow and do something.

God wants us to grow and make a difference.

Before the cross we’re here for us to find Jesus.

But after the cross we are here for others.

Ephesians 4:11-16 (NIV)

1 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

We are praying for you and all of us to mature.  You can get more of God than you currently have.

If we will do this. Grow.. we’ll no longer be infants and easily influenced by everything that we hear.  You want to be settled, and not blown around. Grow. Establish deep roots.

Speak the truth in love, we grow and become mature. No longer tossed around. We have the stability as we grow together.

No matter how “seasoned” you are in life and ministry, you can always grow more.

God wants that for me, for you and others.

How does this work spiritually?  Surrender yourself to the Lord.

Luke 2:52 (NIV)

52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

We grow because our Lord Jesus grew.

Areas we can grow.. Here are some ideas for you.

21 Days of Prayer - Day 13 Find Freedom

Day 13, January 17, 2020

Find Freedom

Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Freedom in Jesus Christ really needs to be celebrated. He put himself on the cross and shed His blood because He loves us and did this for our freedom.

What was impossible for people to do, Jesus did for us. He paid for freedom from addictions, loneliness, sickness and so many other things.

Today if you are in Christ Jesus, you are free. He set us free for freedom.

God is with us, who can be against us. We are salt and light. We read the end of the book, we win.

Because this freedom is so precious.

Stand firm do not let yourself be burdened by a yoke of slavery!

The enemy doesn’t want you and me free, because he is not free. So .. Stand firm.

How do we fight?

Always keep gathering. Small groups and corporate worship. Keep gathering. Hebrews 10:23-25 (NIV).

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Groups are important - James 5:16 (NIV) confess to one another and experience true and complete healing.

James 5:16 (NIV)

16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

    2) We must keep praying  - 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NIV)

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

We lock in as intercessors and praying for the lost and praying for people who need to be free from the things Jesus gave His life for.

21 Days of Prayer - Day 12 - Know God - The Lost

Day 12, January 16, 2020

Know God - The Lost

This I  think is the tip top priority and heart of God, to know God!

At one time, we were all lost people. Not just partially lost. We are not born knowing God. We were once 100% lost. But I guarantee you that somebody once prayed for you.  That is what we are doing today. We are praying for people.

So here in Luke 15 we are going to look at lost people.

Jesus teaches the Pharisees why He hangs out with lost people and offers 3 parables.

Luke 15:8-10 (NIV)

8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

The lady had 10 coins but lost 1. She sweeps the house and “looks carefully,” until she finds the coin..  She says “I found my lost coin.” Not just that coin .. but “my lost coin.”

How many more lost coins are out in the value.

We see here in this passage: passion and value.

The woman was searching.

God was searching and today as we pray, we join the search party of God.

Even though the coin was lost, it had not lost its value.

The searching and sweeping is represented in our prayers. Praying for those that need God.

From my prayer guide, here are five steps in praying for people to receive Jesus.

1. PRAY THAT THE FATHER WOULD  DRAW THEM TO JESUS

No  one can  come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him  (John 6:44).

 2. BIND THE SPIRIT THAT BLINDS THEIR MINDS

The god of this age has  blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God (2 Corinthians 4:4).

When we pray we are sweeping away from their vision that which binds or hinders them.

3. LOOSE THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION (SONSHIP)

For you did  not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry,  “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15).

  4. PRAY THAT OTHER BELIEVERS WILL CROSS  THEIR PATHS AND ENTER INTO POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS  WITH THEM

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field (Matthew  9:38).

  5. LOOSE THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION ON THEM SO THEY MAY KNOW  GOD BETTER

I  keep asking that the God of our  Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,  may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him  better

(Ephesians 1:17).

Every time we pray, we call out a person’s name and bring them before God’s throne, I believe we are increasing the illumination so that people can see more clearly.
