21 Days of Prayer - Day #12 - January 20, 2022 Prayer for Our Healing

Day 12  January 20, 2022

Prayer Focus: Faith For Our Lives - Faith for My Healing

1 Peter 2:24 (NIV) 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Key phrase “By His wounds you have been healed.”

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been serving the Lord, we All need healing. There are areas of our life that we need healing.

You have been healed. Notice that this is past  tense. Not that you will be or should be, but that you have been.

This can be emotional, physical, financial, or spiritual - you are waiting for a breakthrough.

Peter is quoting the prophet Isaiah, hundreds of years in advance, that Jesus would provide the healing we need.

Jesus knows what we need.

It’s easy to fall back into old habits or ways.  The Apostle Paul felt that tension.

Galatians 5:1 (NIV) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

We have a part to play.  There’s a choice. We can let discouragement set in or we can stand firm.

We know that physical exercise is good for my physical health. The same way with my eating.  Or if I invest my time into relationships they will be good.

But if we stand firm we can claim that healing has already been provided.

Three Prayer points

Renew my mind.    I want His thoughts not my thoughts.  I can come up with every excuse to hit the snooze button rather than get up early and spend time with God.  God’s thoughts are for us to “get up” and enjoy that time.

Healing comes from not repairing what was broken but replacing what is broken I want the mind of Christ.

Romans 12:2 (NIV) 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Search my heart.    We need to allow the Lord to examine the most private part of my life.

King David prayed Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV) Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me,  and lead me in the way everlasting. Our hearts, our emotions. It’s you. Allow the Lord to search our hearts and point out what needs adjusting.

Heal my body.

Psalm 103:2-4 (NIV) Search me, God, and know my heart;  test me and know my anxious thoughts.24 See if there is any offensive way in me,  and lead me in the way everlasting.

I want to be healed. God has a physical healing for us.

We believe that His word promises us this.

We should look forward to what God can do with our bodies when we pray and ask Him to do that work for us and in us.

21 Days of Prayer - Day #11 January 19, 2022 Great Faith In our Calling

Day 11  January 19, 2022

Prayer Focus: Great Faith In Our Calling

Do you wonder if your purpose will ever be fulfilled?

1 Thessalonians 5:24 (NIV)

“The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:24 (AMP)

24 Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own].

To complete your calling requires great faith.

People question their calling and quitting in pursuing their purpose largely because it doesn’t match up with their plans.

We need to be careful that we don’t put restrictions on God for our plans.

God puts us in a place for a purpose and it’s about His pace.

3 Things that can help us in Great Faith for our calling.

Trust God enough to leave your comfort zone.

God doesn’t call us for His comfort but for His purpose

Trust God enough to release your control.

I would rather leave my control and fall into trusting God.

Trust God to catch you.

Sometimes we come in waiting for God to move but He’s waiting for you to jump!

If God calls you to it, you can trust Him to carry you through it.

If God has a calling for you He will do it!

If He started it He will Finish it!

21 Days of Prayer - Day # 10 January 18, 2022 Faith For Our Relationships

Day 10  January 18, 2022

Prayer Focus: Great Faith for My Relationships

The best thing in life is relationships, but some of  the greatest pain points also are in relationships.

(Illustration about a horrible roller coaster type of road. The Zipper .. individual spinning inside a ride that spins)   This is like our relationships. We spin and are upside down. Nothing makes sense and nothing is on solid ground.

Joshua tried to lead Israel as they were spinning in their relationships.

Joshua 24:14-15 (NKJV) 14 “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Faith for relationships!

Faith for relationships starts with ME.  I first need to change before I can really expect it of others. It starts with ME.

1. Pray God’s promises over relationships.

Pray the scripture over people’s names.

2. Pray specifically by name.

Lord give me direction on how to talk to _______.

Help me to love _____________.

3. Pray faith over my feelings for my family.

We need to believe in God. We cannot trust our feelings.

We might think our family members might not ever respond .. but God is God of blessing, of faith, of

mighty works. He can do all things.

We don’t want to just see our family members and friends saved, we want to see them serving you.
