21 Days of Prayer - Day 5 - Thursday,  August 11, 2022   Revelation that Transforms!

Day 5 - Thursday,  August 11, 2022   Revelation that Transforms!

My desire is to hear God’s Voice. To hear Him speak. When He speaks to our hearts, it is stamped and is a great revelation.

Jeremiah 33:1-3 (NIV) While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the Lord came to him a second time: 2 “This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: 3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

The God who created everything is the God that calls to you.

God says He’ll answer us. He wants us to cry out to Him.  The revelation part is God says I’ll show you and teach you things you didn't know before. I will show you things that will change the course of your life forever.

Situations set up revelation.

He was bringing the truth and no one was listening. This was a dark time and no one wanted to listen.  Sometimes in our darkest hours, God is speaking to us. He is revealing Himself to us.

Revelation births transformations.

When we get a word from God, we are forever changed!

Revelation during our difficult situation is powerful. Sometimes I need a revelation of Who God is not necessarily getting me out of my situation.  It’s getting a revelation that changes my heart and lasts forever.

Verse 2  “This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name:

Jeremiah had been transformed because of the revelation he got from God. No one could shake him.

Transformation fuels purpose.

There are things that God must take us through to get us ready for what He wants to accomplish.  It’s bigger than me. It’s beyond me.  It’s beyond my prayer posture; it's about changing the world.

Sometimes the best thing we can do about transformation is to put our faith in motion.

There are three prayers we can pray over these next 21 days of prayer. Get after them. Seeking the heart of God.  Pray that you would receive a:

Revelation of God’s true nature.

I want to know the heart of God!  I want to be in His presence and enjoy the intimate relationship with Him.

Revelation of my identity in Christ.

Some don't live in victory because we don’t see ourselves as God sees us..

Revelation of my assignment.

I want to know my purpose!  I need God to speak to me so I know how I’m wired and what the assignment is that He has for me.

Recap:  Get a revelation of:

Who He IS!

Who I AM!

What Purpose is!

Thank you Lord!  Blow our minds with what you have for us today! IN Jesus’ name!

21 Days of Prayer - Day 4 - Wednesday, August 10, 2022 Models of Prayer

Day 4 - Wednesday, August 10, 2022   Models of Prayer

Luke 11:1-2 (NLT)

As Jesus was teaching, His disciples were watching Him. When He finished teaching, they asked Him to teach them to pray

Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV)  The Lord’s Prayer passage.

Of all the models of prayer, it follows 4 basic themes.

If you didn’t have one of our Pray First Prayer Guides available to you and you wanted to know how you could pray productively and passionately, here are 4 areas.

Adoration and Worship:

Let’s pause on stepping into business with the Father and go straight into Worship and adore Him.  Worship Him and adore His name.  Communicate with Him like you would another person.

God enjoys it when we worship and tell Him how much we love Him.

Confession and Transformation:

What I don’t want in me and then what I do want in me. Confess to God about the things that maybe you’ve allowed to enter your life and ask for Him to remove it. You don’t want it. But then ask God for that transformation that will bring good and godly things into your life.

God’s Kingdom and agenda.

I need to think about His requests before I give Him mine.  Seek first the Kingdom (Matt. 6:33)

I want to pray for His agenda and the things He loves.

I pray then warfare prayers and resist the devil asking God for His protection and presence.

My agenda and requests.

When I get to my requests, I think of 4 areas.

Leaders, family, job or school and our church.

I want you to engage in prayer.  Have a prayer list and pray through that list.

Come to prayer with more to do than time to do it.

I desire to come to prayer with an hour’s worth of material and only 25 minutes to do it.

Come locked and loaded for prayer.

Ephesians 6:18 (GW) Pray in the Spirit  in every situation. Use every kind of prayer and request there is. For the same reason be alert. Use every kind of effort and make every kind of request for all of God’s people.

In every situation. Use every kind of prayer. During Saturday prayers when I am in between thoughts of those I’m praying for, remain active in prayer.  If you have a private prayer language, pray in spirit.  Paul said to pray using every kind of prayer.

May we be active people of prayer!

21 Days of Prayer - Day 3 - Tuesday August 9, 2022 - Lessons From The Vine

John 15

Jesus is heading to the cross. He’s spending some final times and thoughts with His disciples. This is a beautiful picture of our relationship with the Lord Jesus.

Jesus said in verse 1 that he is the True Vine!  He’s the real deal. There’s no one like Him.

John 15:5-8 (NIV)

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Lessons from the Vine

Life is in the vine.  There’s no shortage of life being in the vine. Hardships do not stop the flow. Everything we need is in the vine.  There’s plenty of power and strength in the vine.

Branches can’t bear fruit apart from the vine.  Apart from Jesus it is dry, brittle and lifeless. You can’t be a Christian without being connected to Christ. It’s like trying to ride a bike without a bike.

Abiding is the powerful intimate relationship we can have. The word Abide is so powerful. It’s the word He’s using of how close His disciples (that’s us) is going to be.  It’s for intimacy. It means “to stay put, remain, continue where you’re at.”   He’s saying stay put. Don’t go anywhere. My Holy Spirit is coming.

The natural outcome is prayer. Prayer is a natural relationship with the vine and the branches.  Prayer is the power button that keeps us abiding and remaining in Him.

So for 21 days, I’m staying in this.  I am not going anyplace.  21 Days of prayer is the atmosphere of staying in it - connected to the vine.

No matter what you are believing in God for, you remain .. you stay in it.
